[TRNSYS-users] Difference between educational and convencionalversion TRNSYS_16

1 - I have adquire the educational version TRNSYS_16, and i want to know
which are the limitation in comparing to comercial version TRNSYS_16 ?

 

Dear Nilton, 

 

The difference is only a legal one; technically the package is identical
to the commercial version.

 

Educational licenses are to be for educational and research purposes at
educational institutions only (other non-profit organizations such as
governments do not count as educational). Each educational license is a
site license allowing up to ten copies at that specific department or
research group.

 

 

Other question, about the simulation building:

 

2 - I want to know if the TRNSYS_16 can read the geometric parameters
building, from the AutoCad program ?

     In negative response, he can read the geometric parameters of the
building in another program? What is the program  name?

 

There is a French initiative called NBDM (Neutral Building Data Model)
which produced, among other things, a plug-in for Google SketchUp (based
on NREL's OpenStudio), allowing to export the drawing to NBDM compatible
programs (including TRNSYS, via a free translator). Information is
