[TRNSYS-users] Optimization with GenOpt

Dear Matt,

I have checked the file "GenoptInputFile.lst" for problems and there appears
the following error:

*** Fatal Error at time   :         0.000000
    Generated by Unit     :    51
    Generated by Type     :     9
    Message               : Unable to correctly read from the supplied data
file. Please check the file and re-run the simulation. The most likely cause
of this problem is an empty or non-existent file.
****************************************************************************


The data file is in the same folder with the weather data, the data for a
chiller and the tpf. From this folder that includes all these files I am
able to run the tpf using the Simulation Studio.

Please, find attached two files indicating the problem.

Dear Panagiotis Tsekouras,

Please make sure you are opening the "TRNSYS16.ini" located in C:\Program
Files\Trnsys16_1\Optimization\Genopt\Configuration.

Also, please refer to the  GENOPT.log file (in the
TRNSYS16_1\Optimization\GenOpt\Configuration\ directory by default) and
the TRNSYS list file TRNGEN.LST (in the
TRNSYS16_1\Optimization\Simulation\ directory by default) for sources of
the problem.

If this still does not work, please let me know.

I am trying to use GenOpt in order to optimize a project. After following
all the steps of the first window appeared when initializing the GenOpt
(select input file, select and specify variables, use a cost equation to
minimize and choose the optimization method, browsing the TRNSYS. ini file)
the following message appears without running the project.

GenOpt terminated with error.

See logfile for further information.



Has anyone faced the same problem before?
