Manuel,
Your simulation time step and Type56 time base do not have to match.
The time step must be shorter than the time base and the time base
should be a multiple of the time step but there are no other
restrictions. You could have a 15 minute time step and a 2 hour time
base if needed.
As for Type54 and Type16. Adrian's comment is quite correct; make sure
that you have the time of last read and time of next read hooked up.
Type54 reads its own data file; you must add your location's data to the
file read by Type54. The necessary data is 12 values of average total
daily radiation on the horizontal (one value for each month), 12 values
of monthly average ambient temperature and 12 values of monthly average
humidity ratio. Type9 is an alternative to Type54 (it reads a different
kind of data file). Both Type9 and Typr54 are designed to feed
information into Type16.
