[TRNSYS-users] Coupling airflow between zones

Matt,
You are on the right track with the way that you are modeling the air
flow coupling in the building. The trick is to figure out how much air
leaks out. You can either specify it based on hand calculations of the
duct and diffuser sizes or you can use the coupling between TRNSYS and
CONTAM that is in the standard package. Type56 passes the zone
temperature information to Type97 (CONTAM), which calculates the
resulting air flow due to temperature and pressure (height differences
and wind) differences between the zones, and passes it back to Type56.
Cheers,
David
