[TRNSYS-users] Problem with Genopt (and Trnopt) with more than 9 variables

Dear All,

 

I'm a new user of Genopt (and TrnOpt) and I have some problem to make it work correctly in some configuration. When I'm trying to identify up to 9 variables there's no problem but for ten or more variables the program does not work correctly. It appears as if there is a decalage between all the variables ; and the value of the results is the value of a variable input and no more of the optimization function.

 

For example, I've made a deck with one equation and ten variables :

Error=abs(a)+abs(b)+abs(c)+abs(d)+abs(e)+abs(f)+abs(g)+abs(h)+abs(i)+abs(j)

Where a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i, j are variables (initial value =1, min value=0, maxvalue=10, step=0.5)

 

Genopt has to minimize this equation with Hooke jeeves method and it doesn't work (file outputlistingall_10variables.txt). When I try to identify only 9 of this 10 variables it works (file outputlistingall_10variables.txt)

 

Could you help me ?

 

I'm using TRNSYS 16 and Genopt 2.0
