Adrien, I imagine that it depends a bit on the site. Usually, though, wind speed and direction are not very reliable since in the best circumstances, they are measured at an airport where it is flat and where there are no trees. Still, my feeling is that the data is better than ignoring wind effects completely. If you are trying to assess whether or not a site has good potential for a wind turbine, I would suggest taking the speed data that is in the meteonorm file and putting a multiplier on it so that you check the electricity production that you would get if the wind is 1/2 or 1/3 as good as the data file says.Kind regards, David
