Dear TRNSYS users,

Recently I have tried to make a three years long simulation with Trnsys 14.2 and I noticed a strange behavior of Type 16. In order to diagnose the problem, I logged all type 16 inputs and outputs.

I have compared recorded inputs and outputs for each of the three years simulated. All the inputs were matching (no wonder, since they were supplied either directly by weather data reader, or calculated based on weather data, which is 365 days long). However, there were significant differences between the outputs. Interesting thing that I noted is that outputs were always matching during first 15 hours of a day, but after that differences appeared almost randomly, until the time of the sunset.

The parameters that I am using for the Type 16 are given below:

UNIT 2 TYPE 16 Solar Radiation Processor1, Ib and Id
PARAMS 9
*  Ib+Id  Tr_mode   sky     start_day       Lati       sol_const        shift    smooth_dis=2   no_sol_time
        6             1       1      StartTag      49.8              4871         -5.1                      1                    1

I am open for any suggestions or even solutions.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards
