Thermal Energy System Specialists, LLC (TESS) of
Madison, Wisconsin is looking for a qualified
individual to join our firm. TESS provides energy
modeling services to architects, MEP firms,
national labs, and research organizations and has
worked on some of the most innovative
energy-related projects in the world. We
specialize in the analysis of renewable energy
systems, and sustainable and energy efficient
designs, often developing first principals models
of emerging technologies and applying them to
real-world projects. Our company is also a
developer and distributor of the TRNSYS
simulation software package and stays heavily
involved with international energy modeling

Our goal is to find a focused, self-motivated
individual capable of quickly stepping into an
important role in a small company. The
responsibilities for the position would include:
* Provide support to other team members on ongoing energy consulting projects
* Provide technical support to our users in the international TRNSYS community
* Develop new features for the TRNSYS simulation package
* Develop customized client-oriented software packages
* Lead training courses on the use of simulation tools
* Cultivate new clients and projects for the firm
We offer a flexible and casual work environment.
Successful employees may be rewarded with a

established a pattern of successfully bringing
in, and completing, consulting projects. The
candidate should expect to travel domestically
and internationally 2 to 3 times per year with
stays ranging from 3 to 7 days in duration.
The "ideal" candidate would have the following skills/experience:
* A professional degree in a relevant field
(Engineering, Energy & Environment, Architecture, etc.)
* Experience in simulation/modeling software
(TRNSYS, DOE-2 (eQuest, VisualDOE, etc.), EnergyPlus, ESP-r etc.)
* Knowledge of programming languages (FORTRAN, C++, Java, etc.)
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Familiarity with the LEED certification process
