[TRNSYS-users] Type 56 - Chiller only in summer

Gizmoog,
I would recommend using either a Type14 forcing function in combination
with a controller component (Type2 for example) to turn on and off the
chiller. Type2 would operate the chiller based only on Type56 zone
temperatures regardless of the time of year. Type14 would be set up to
disable the controller during the winter months so that the chiller remains
off. To do this, your Type14 forcing function might have a value of 1
during the summer and 0 during the winter and you might multiply the value
of the forcing function by the control signal coming from Type2. If you
have access to the TESS Applications Library, there is a heating and
cooling season component that will do the same basic thing in a bit more
comprehensible way.
Kind regards,
David
