Hallo Nick,
For this purpose you can use type28a, this type performs a simulation
summary and includes a Energy Balance check. The power added to the tank
has to come from an external source (e.g. heater or collector) (and not
output #11 from type4). You can refer to the trnsys manual or the
proforma (of type28a) for examples.
Regards,
raf
(I can not open your project, probably due to a different trnsys
version)

Onderwerp: [TRNSYS-users] Energy (un)balance type 4
Dear trnsys users,
The energy flows for type 4 do not seem to balance in my simulation. If
I am correct, the change in internal energy (change of output #7) has to
be equal to the net power added (output #11 minus output #4 minus output
#6) times the simulation timestep. In the attached simulation, this sum
doesn't add up for all timestep. Can anyone figure out the reason?
Regards Nick
