Dear Mohammad,
The fundamental algorithms and mathematics of the thermosiphon solar
collector/tank model have not changed between TRNSYS 14.2 and TRNSYS 16.
The standard thermosiphon model is Type45, which uses Type38 internally to
simulate the storage tank. The Solar Energy Lab has recently made some
simplifications and improvements to the structure of the Type45 code. These
will be released with TRNSYS 16.1 in the near future. There may also be
non-standard thermosiphon collector / storage systems available. If anyone
knows of some, please do let us know.
Kind regards,
  david
