Todd,

Why do you need to call TRNSED before running TRNSYS with GENOPT?  TRNSED 
is just a display software that interprets commands embedded in a TRNSYS 
input file.  All you need to do is have GENOPT call TRNEXE.EXE; the actual 
run-time engine for TRNSYS.  That's what we do in TRNOPT; our commercial 
interface between GENOPT and TRNSYS - which allows users to easily run 
optimizations on TRNSYS input files.
