[TRNSYS-users] new - old -controller

Florian,
The "new" control strategy is intended to be used with SOLVER 1. The
"old" control strategy is intended to be solved with SOLVER 0. The choice
of SOLVER should depend upon the amount of capacitance that you have in
your system. Systems that have almost no capacitance are sometimes better
solved using SOLVER 1 while systems that have significant amounts of
capacitance (a building, thermal storage tanks, batteries, etc.) are
usually fine using SOLVER 0. Without changing the SOLVER, you might look at
your controller dead band temperatures and increase them if possible to
increase the stability of your controller.
Kind regards,
   David
