Type 56 has many outputs that allow you to perform various energy 
balances (for one surface, one zone or the whole building). Please refer 
to pages 4.8.8.2-26 to 4.8.8.2-30 in the TRNSYS manual for more information.

If "summary" in your question refers to the output files that can 
automatically be created by Type 56 (e.g. monthly summary), the 
information in these files is not enough to perform energy balances. 
They are only intended to give you an overview of the most commonly used 
outputs.

The Type 56 developers have recognized the fact that building energy 
balances are difficult to do in TRNSYS 15 and they have included 
automatic energy balances in TRNSYS 16.
