Attached is this week's NASMHPD Weekly Update for your review. It contains:

(1) details on the $2 trillion CARES Act passed by the Senate yesterday in response to the pandemic and the resulting massive layoffs, and scheduled to be passed by the House of Representatives and signed by President Trump tomorrow;

(2) links to the guidance documents issued by Federal agencies (CMS, SAMHSA, DEA, and CDC) relating to the COVID-19 crisis and state and provider flexibilities being granted in responding to that crisis;

(3) this week's Crisis Now CrisisTalk column on the turn to telehealth in the midst of the pandemic;

(4) a report on a study comparing the incidence of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder among individuals who attempt suicide by cutting their wrists with those who sustain wrist injuries in an accident; and

(4) updates on cancellations and postponements of scheduled conferences and meetings due to the pandemic and the need for social isolation.

Have a safe weekend.

Stay Well,
