CONTRACT WORK

Researcher– P/T contract  - Hourly Rate – work remotely

The International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA-USA) seeks part time help with a research project. We have funding from the Department of Energy to perform a scan of all educational assets available to the Building Energy Modeling community, both live and online.

 Duties:

·      Perform research and collect data about educational offerings.

·      Capture contact information and create short synopsis of findings

·      Organize findings for final reports

 

 

Qualifications:

·      Experienced with research and data collection

·      Education in a degree program related to building science, architecture and/or engineering.

·      Research/publishing/working knowledge/student level experience related to the use of simulation tools, for example: DOE2, EnergyPlus, Radiance, THERM, and other public or private products.

·      Familiarity with ASHRAE energy modeling guidelines, LEED guidelines and state required simulation protocols

 

Work Environment:

·      95% unsupervised

·      Work from home (your laptop)

·      Create own work schedule

 

Prefer but not required, someone from San Francisco Bay Region, as face-to-face meetings are required even though most of the work will be done remotely.
