[Equest-users] Disappearing zones in eQuest

I am assisting a friend on a single story building (so far). The shell and zoning in the DD Wizard appears to match. Yet, when one switches to the 2D and 3D view, several (not all) zones disappear. A shaded area fills where the zones should be.
What would create this illusion?
