[Equest-users] serious problem in Modeling DCP for Gulf region

Dear All, 

 

I have a very serious problem in modeling a DC plant for high rise buildings
in Middle east (gulf region) .  If we want to get more than two point , the
LEED district cooling treatment required a virtual chillers to be modeled .
the default overall efficiency for this chillers is 4.4COP . this efficiency
is very low in comparison with the minimum required COP for the baseline
based on the ASHRAE requirements. 

 

The efficiency in the ASHRAE for the centrifugal chillers using table 6.8.1J
about 5.55 COP. 

 

Any advice about the modeling procedure , or the chiller selection for the
baseline ?
