Closes This Sunday at Midnight!

and take our survey <https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DOE-RFI> now so we can
provide our feedback by June 3rd.

The US Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable
Energy (EERE) Building Technologies Office (BTO) has issued a Request for
Information to solicit feedback from industry, academia, research
laboratories, government agencies, and other stakeholders on BTO’s Building
Energy Modeling (BEM) program and its future directions and priorities. To
clarify these, BTO has developed a report that is structured around six
focus areas:

   1. The BEM value proposition
   2. Predictive accuracy of BEM
   3. Core modeling capabilities
   4. Workflow integration and automation
   5. The BEM data ecosystem
   6. The BEM professional community

The report identifies barriers to the increased adoption of BEM and
proposes a set of initiatives to address them. The report is available
here: (*report*

.

IBPSA-USA’s membership is uniquely positioned to provide feedback to DOE on
planned initiatives and their prioritization, on program scope, and on
data-sets, metrics and targets for assessing program effectiveness and
impact.
