Thank you for your replies!

Christoph,

I am more than comfortable with Rhino, sice my background is in
architecture, but at the small engineering company where I am working now
they do not use this tool. My task was to demonstrate and (maybe) introduce
Energy Plus and Radiance to the comapy's routine. As for energy plus,
additionally to compare it with the local competitor in Austria from
Pokorny tec (http://www.pokorny-tec.at/). If one can call the commercial
software a "competitor" to the non-commercial...

Robert,

following your advice, I installed Energy plus into the default folder and
located it again via "scan for tools". This way I only managed to get rid
of the minor error (URL Found in IDF:
file:files/AUT_Vienna.Schwechat.110360_IWEC.epw but no source could be
located.) I call it minor because I saw it appearing in the error list in
the tutorial, where the rest of the functions were working.

as for the
The job in
'C:/Users/labor/AppData/Local/Temp/OpenStudio.wh4932/resources/run/1-Ruby-0/in/model/radiance/gen_eplus/2-ExpandObjects-0'
did not finish successfully.

ERROR: No tool matching: expandobjects 8.2.-.-

and

failed to run ModelToRad

it is still there. See the report attached.

I will duplicate my comment to the Unmet hours forum as well.
