Primary responsibilities include:

-          Performing computer based analysis of buildings for internal
and external clients:

o        Building energy modeling

o        Shading studies

o        Daylighting studies

o        Climate studies

o        Parametric building geometry analysis

o        Carbon footprint analysis

o        Airflow analysis within and around buildings

-          Working closely with in-house MEP engineers and
Sustainability Specialists to provide an open and ongoing dialog to
substantiate building performance initiatives.

-          Provide creative and 'out of the box' ideas and solutions for
building performance optimization.

-          Seek to increase knowledge of MEP design.

-          Seek to increase knowledge of Sustainable design.

-          Facilitate a culture that encourages team work through
knowledge sharing and involvement.

 

Secondary responsibilities include:

-          Provide design/production support.

-          Stay abreast of latest tools and events.

-          Participate in industry forums.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

*	General understanding of MEP and sustainable building systems.

*	Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural
Engineering.
*	Expertise in hourly simulation software programs and
industry-accepted engineering methods for evaluating energy performance
and should be fully capable of performing all aspects of whole-building
analysis associated with completing sustainable design projects.
*	Good written and oral communication skills.
*	Passion for building optimization.
*	Team player willing to contribute to and build analysis group
methods, knowledge, and capabilities. 

 

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

*	Real world MEP design experience.
*	Knowledge and understanding of wide range of building systems /
products.
*	LEED Accredited
