[UA] Possibility of a Bard character?

One of my players is totally bent for playing bard characters. I'm not very familiar with other RPGs, like Dungeons and Dragons which apparently has roles for these things. There's hints in the corebook about a 'play the blues' Soul skill... there's the ravey 0100101011001 group and Oneiromancy, but not quite what he's looking at. Has anyone tackled this conversion before?
