[UA] Demonic Avatars

So my campaign is rolling along. Got a prettyboy art dealer with inhumanly high Charm, a vidiot who worships Dragon Ball Z, and soon an Iconomancer to come.

I say "to come" because this player's previous character was an Avatar of the Savage who was killed by the Sleepers after he used his channels to call a pack of dogs to his aid. Not smart.

In any case this Savage was a much-beloved character and he was also precisely the sort to come back and possess someone. Thinking about demonifying the character to screw with the PCs' heads. So first of all, has anyone done something like that? Secondly, does anyone know if there's a restriction on Demons being Avatars? For the record, I take the Cruel Ones to a room of the House of Renunciation, which means the Cruel Ones aren't the Invisible Clergy so it's at least conceivable.
