[UA] Daytime TV taking on a life of its own

My sister, who works as a script assistant at a Norwegian soap [1]  
just told me that some of the fans have created false online profiles  
for the various characters, ask each other on fictive dates, quarrel,  
and so forth -- sort of enacting their own version of the Cæsar  
universe.

Sounds quite a lot like the UA kind of resonance to me. So ... what's  
*really* going on here?
