The Chronicler from Statosphere might also be a good fit - he's a musician instead of a journalist. As Chuck D once said Rap is the CNN of the street.

There are many possible Icons incluing Elvis, Kurt Cobain and Tupac Shakur. I did a Bob Marley icon a while ago for an example.
