*twitches* I do see your point, but it's still a little cringe-inducing. Maybe do a mix of Thanatomancy and Epideromancy, which'll give many similar powers while not brinigng  the wrath of the Cruel Ones down on the list.

Demons cannot, in canon, be avatars. It's antithetical to their nature. However humans who were avatars in life can come back as demons. They just won't have the avatar skill. Feel free to give him an adept school with similar powers though (Thanatomancy?), demons can have those very easily and learn them after death.Yeah, this is pretty much the case. But with slippery legalese the demon could manifest Savage-like powers as some sort of limited adept school in which the mechanics stay the same.
