It's been suggested that the symbolism of McDonalds is important. The magic,
the cast of characters, the fact it's front and centre of cultural
imperialism and consumer culture.
"McJob" is in the Oxford English Dictionary. There's a theory that two
countries with McDonalds restaraunts in them will never go to war with each
other. The "Big Mac Index" of Purchasing Power Parity.

Burger King has some cultural traction, and some of it isn't even related to
being McDonald's rival. But how many people will remember the name of that
dude in the flying wheelchair who hung out with Kid Vid, when compared to
the Hamburglar?

Of course the Ritual of Lesser Correspondance 1.0 works pretty much
anywhere, so Mak Crews may have tried it, but I'd expect limited effects
beyond the (ir)regular SpOrds, at best.
