Maybe the telephone network's been pumped full of juice as a side effect
from, say, infomancer tampering or that proxy ritual where you call a bunch
of people and pretend to be your intended proxy and it's become sentient.

But since it doesn't really comprehend human language, it would have to
communicate through numbers, most likely numbers heavily associated with
certain individuals.

We'll know for sure if any or all pornomancers get such a call on the 9th of
june.

Of course it could just be some annoying duke trying freak people out with
mystically signifigant calls.
