I think your players want ONE big picture. Of course they want the correct
picture, but they will settle for any you give them. Give them another, or
show them they are wrong, a few sessions down the road and they will hate
you passionately. Then show them another. Every duke thinks his own
worldview is the one that's correct...
My unsuspecting players thinks the big picture consists of a lot of people
going around calling themselves "King" and are symbolically interpreting
everything in terms of characters and events in the Arthurian saga...

Subject: [UA] Underground Tour
Hi all,
I've started a UA campaign. I left the choice to my players of knowing some
stuff and having powers or knowing nothing and having everything to
discover. They choose the discovery.
So far, so good.
But know they're complaining that they're not discovering things fast
enough, that they don't have a good picture of the world. In my mind that's
normal, since everything is pretty much fractured, and there's no real "big
picture" group, unless you meet TNI or the sleepers, and they're not
organization you're likely to meet when dipping your toes in the
underground...
Anyway, I'm wondering if someone has an idea for me to give them what they
want, ie a tour of the underground with clear-cut pictures of where
everyone stands and what choice they can make, or if there's a way for me
to make them feel empowered in a way that doesn't destroy the background
utterly.
Thanks for the advice,
Moah, platypus powaaa!
