[UA] math is hard

Oh great listers,

   I've been working on this game and I'm having a
problem with the crunchy numbers stuff (not my best
area to work on).
   I want a couple of different time jumps to take
place. So, the problem I'm having is I want everything
to begin with the characters young. Somewhere between
8-12. What sort of points should I give them to start
out with? And any suggestions on skill changes?
