A clarification:
The original poster who mentioned the Room not caring about waking the Tiger
has pointed out that he didn't intend to suggest that "waking the Tiger" was
it's OBJECTIVE.
In fact, we're both pretty much on the same page about a lower-key mystical
enlightenment (which might provoke medium-level Sleeper hostility, which is
survivable), which I've been suggesting as an "alternate" to his idea -
which turns out to be, well, the SAME idea.
However, if the "waking the Tiger" WAS an objective (as I suggested in the
examples about face-melty White House action, which has the base example
I've used when talking about being Top of the Sleepers' Hit List with
people) and full-out war was declared with the Sleepers, I stand by my
comments that the campaign is short and ends with dead PCs.
Any long-term conflict with the Sleepers needs to be carefully balanced -
too hot, and they will focus their attention fully and the PCs won't
survive, Enlightened amateurs or no.
And the Cecilines would indeed be a very good way for the Sleepers to really
smash them if they got pissed. Can YOU out-spend the Catholic Church?

PS I also apologise if I have inadvertently offended anyone by arguing
against their ideas. As far as I'm concerned, I'm just trying to debate the
pros and cons back and forth and "stress-test" ideas. No flaming has
occurred or is intended.
Unless I head an e-mail, "You are all L00ZERS! I am L33t!", of course. In
which case, my painful death is assured and deserved. ;-)
