I tend to agree with what was said about mods and the simplicity of the system: I think it works extremely well as it is, and even though some mods could indeed prove useful (and yours are very well written), I don't see them as a priority.

New skills are very cool, but, as someone else said, they should be the icing rather than the cake... The way I see it, the idea in UA is that you write new skills on the basis of the character you are trying to create (and that's why you don't have a skills list to begin with), so I'd rather see character sheets for NPCs with these abilities, than the skills on their own.

As for avatars, schools and formula spells, they are definitely more useful, but I think I'm quite satisfied with what I can find on the UA website. Of course most of the stuff there would need some editing, and there are many items I'll never actually use in my campaign, but I personally find it more useful to have a huge amount of submissions to the site, from which I can select and modify the ones I find more interesting, than a few "professional level" entries on BoUA. I mean, after all, given the nature of UA, I'll usually need to spend some time anywway, modifying and adapting to my current campaign even offical materials.

In my opinion, the real added value of having someone seriously working on such a project the way you did is in the possibility of writing more elaborated stuff, such as campaigns, scenarios, etc., which need more time, revising, etc. compared to the kind of material you usually find on the site. I'd rather see a not-fully developed scenario than a perfectly revised and spell-checked school.

I hope I don't sound too negative, you did a great job with both BoUAs, I just think that you could try something a little more ambitious in terms of contents, even if this means dedicating less time and having a final product that is a little worse in terms of form.

Dario
