Another way is to set it up is the Horrifying Accident
Method. The campers and counsellor are telling ghost
stories and the counsellor tells the campers about an
Indian Burial Ground and a dark spirit that exists
there. Then he makes up some gobbledygook ritual to
summon the dark spirit.

And it works...
