As for the ransom/co-op, the conclusion seems to be
that the ransom is the way to get games made, and a
co-op effort is the way to get them printed.

Best case scenario (to my mind) would be if Greg would
make an outline of production, and we could ransom
each part of it (i.e. ransom the first quarter, then
the next, then the next, etc.).  Then, upon completion
of the work, everyone who contributed gets it for free
(or for the cost of their donation), and Greg could
sell it on RPG.NOW at that point.  

Then, we could organize the co-op and get them printed
up nicely (or we could use Cafepress, or greg could
sell them thru cafepress, etc. etc.).  

But, the gist of it seems to be that the ransom model
is where it's at, and that doing a co-op is perhaps
unnecessary for a digital product.
