Actually, I had a character who was a pretty high ranking (30 % or so)
unconscious avatar of the pilgrim. Even the player didn't know, actually,
it was just the way he described his character that made it so obvious.
sometimes I would let him flip-flop a skill without telling him why:-) (but
mostly it was just that the skill he had chosen was his obsession skill
anyway, I played pretty loose with this, but it was fun, letting the
aurasight guy see a seashell (pilgrim mark) in his aura, making some
obviously clued-in people notice him a bit more, dropping a rumour about an
up-and coming avatar of the pilgrim) Most avatars work this way (yes,
really, look at the first channel of a couple and figure how you could hide
that effect from the player), and all of them should.

Hehe. Swap Meet is awesome. :) As far as
roleplaying, I agree totally. The problem is, to RP
*any* avatar, he will have to meta-game, as his
character is totally unaware of them as of yet. But I
guess, at core, what I'm really asking is, "how do you
make 'The Pilgrim' work for a setting in which the
characters don't travel?"
And, what sort of evil things can I do to him in the
mean time?
