This whole thread reminds me of something I once read, for no particular
reason.  It was a collection of the weirdest letters Ann Landers had ever
gotten.  Now, since it was collated in the fifties or something it wasn't
THAT weird, but I remember one word for word.

"Dear Ann Landers.  My husband burns the hair out of his nose with a lit
match, and he thinks I'M crazy because I voted for McGovern."  (Okay, I
don't remember the exact politician.)
