I was going to do a co-opt on Favourite Things. I made
it a large otherspace called Ghost City and then
created the Ritual of Eleven Doors which allowed
people to enter Ghost City walk around, and then exit
back into our world closer to where they wanted to be.
It works like a Dimension Door spell or Hyperspace
gate.

This way whenever the PCs went into Ghost City they
discover one of the events before leaving - spreading
it out nicely during the campaign.
