You make good points about a common obsessive interest being a good basis
for a cabal.

..you mean other than Mount Rushmore, right?
The Clio who charges off Will Eisner's studio might
not be fighting other Clios for it, but he's sure to
run into a comics-fan Bibliomancer. Elvis's party
rooms are likely to attract Iconomancers and even some
eccentric Narquis.
I think that it's good for Clios to have alternate
"historicity" requirements, but if they do other
adepts will as well, and the reduced competition from
Cliomancers will be partly counterbalanced by other
adepts with similar interests. On the other hand, this
could be a good basis for a cabal.. a Narqui who's
interested in Elvis's party habits, an Icono who's
interested in him as an iconic figure, and a Clio
seeking his historical significance could find it
easier to work together than to work against each
other.
