[UA] American Idol

Sadly, one of the concessions of being married is that
I am occasionally exposed to American Idol.  Also, and
perhaps worse, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, which comes
on in the afternoon.  (My wife wonders why I've
stopped watching television...).  Anyway, after one of
my rants about what God-awful shit it is, and
specifically about how Ryan Seacrest himself is
God-awful shit, my wife told me that there used to be
two hosts in the first season.  Which made me think:

What if Seacrest ate the other one in some sick ritual
to catapult himself to fame?  

Or:

What if he's a golem, literally made from God-awful
shit?
