No, they both store (magical information). Your

I did like to run OU legends as Urban Myth, the "this

sort of legend.

Actually to find the Grail you shouldn't actually be
looking for it. 

Percival found the Grail because he wasn't really
looking for the Grail. He was slacking off and just
along for the ride. 

It could be said that the Grail chose Percival to find
it, not the other way around.

Of course, Percival is also another potent symbol of
the Fool. Draw your own conclusions.

The Grail nearly always represents some sort of
renewal of an existing condition - life, faith,
sanctity, honour, health. The Grail doesn't seem to
give anything that wasn't there initially.

You can't have a Grail story without a Wasteland. The
Grail is located within the Chapel Perilous which is
located within the Wasteland. Go read the I Feel Fine
adventure in One Shots (?).
