bear in mind, though, that the painting 'The Ascension of the Magdalene' was painted by a European Renaissance artist.  Mary Magdalene was probably just the best way that he could fit the NG into his worldview.  BTW, has anyone used anything from Ascension in a modern-day UA campaign?  Just curious.
