It would have a very different feel, which the source material would have 
to accomodate.

Basically, you make UA d20 and then you have ultrapowerful characters 
running around.  Except its still UA, so they're all batty as hell.  In 
other words, the Occult Underground is a Sanitarium run by madmen.  As 
opposed to the current incarnation, where no one really runs the OU.

That's one way to look at it anyway.  One result, from the perspective of 
campaigns, is that you spend a lot of  time alternatively begging the 
Lords for help and running from them.  Sort of like Paranoia, except with 
less comedy (most of the time, anyway).

Or not.  It wouldn't be impossible to D20ize the material without 
completly wrecking the world.  I think you guys are being a little 
pessimistic.
