There could be an otherspace tube-station-platform,
Arran, Arawan, Rowan, somesuch. It has no entrance to
the surface. Horrible half-dead, albino cannabilistic
troglodytes live here and worship the Godwalker of the
Flying Woman.

Or...

The same pub with two entrances on opposite sides.
Each entrance is exactly 333 miles apart. People walk
in the one, get drunk, walk out the other, end up in a
terrified panic because they're suddenly lost.

There's a whole class of revenants that frequent pubs
that will be the venue of a violent death. All the
revenants have one milky eye and one black eye. They
wink and raise silent toasts to the future victim.

If the possible victim changes fate, one of the
revenants gets to to his proper death when the bell
tolls the last round.

How's that?
