I drove my players nuts. They are quite paranoid and I have used the copies to get one of them in 
prison. They are evil twins in my case and allied with my "evil overlord" npc, some Thanatomancer.
Right now the players are about to conclude the Ritual of Unity with their twins to get rid of them.
One of my favorites has been that if one of the players hurt one of the twins he actually hurt the 
other player or himself. My players are practicing secret handshakes because they fear the twins :-)

I have to admit though that my campaign is no longer interactive, I am simply writing up the final 
chapters because we just didn't find time to play in the last - 2 years :-(
