Yep, banking on average gives a 1.5% or so advantage (depends on the game--doublehand is 1.2%, blackjack played badly can give the bank something like a 6% advantage, and more people play badly than well). Most games the advantage is small enough that you can lose a lot before you end up ahead. We usually end up ahead over 8 hour periods. That's a long time playing at one table. You know, he's got really great hair, for a speed freak...-Excerpt from actual conversation--- On Tue 03/23, Susan Dohnim < bibadoo at hotmail.com > wrote:

When a player "banks", he's basically taking the position of the dealer/House, right? And the House always has an edge. So if you're not a moron, you want to Bank as often as possible, because it's a positive expectation . . . Bank when you can, and when you're not banking, play best mathematical strategy, and by default you will come out ahead in the long run.Am I getting this right? Sah-weet._________________________________________________________________Get tax tips, tools and access to IRS forms – all in one place at MSN Money! http://moneycentral.msn.com/tax/home.asp_______________________________________________UA mailing listUA at lists.unknown-armies.comhttp://lists.unknown-armies.com/mailman/listinfo/ua
