It's the Tolkien racism line: elves are beautiful
compared to humans and therefore, must be good. Orcs
are ugly compared to humans and therefore must be
evil.

Racial conflict between fantasy racial groups is
something I've always used to exhibit racial tropes in
fatasy gaming. Insofar as to work out ugly slurs
against races that appear within adventuring groups.

In the context that I've always portrayed adventuring
groups as lazy, shiftless and violent vagabonds,
exiled from their own communities.

If you removed all the races (which I have done, you
get nationalists and segregationalists), the
hydra-headed issue pops up again.

I make a note of injecting cross-cultural/racial
motifs within Unknown Armies games: they go together
like expletives and cheap whiskey.
