[UA] Invisible Smurfy

Right she was a ugly goblin in the real world who while being
used to gratify gargamel's impulses ascended into the Smuff
Village/Invisible Clergy and was accepted. Meanwhile, the Smurf Village
constantly eludes Alex Abel, I mean Gargamel, even though he has a smurf
detecting cat, and lots of worldly resources.

Also, the whole communist theory is, well, quite bunk. Pierre
"Peyo" Culliford first started Drawing "Johan & Pirlouit" in 1947 (you
may remember Johan and Peewee guest staring in numerous Smurf episodes).
In 1958 Johan and Peewee were given the task of finding a magic flute, a
flute that summoned the first Schtroumpf (Smurf) to be seen in the
story. (This was retold in the movie The Smurfs and the Magic Flute
(1983)). There are two smurf movies from France predating the Television
show, and the birth of whoever thought this whole communist smurf thing
was a sfunny idea to propose. One was made in 1965, the other in 1976.

It should be noted that after their initial appear the
Schtroumpfs became quite popular and were spun off rather quickly into
their own comics.

So considering the Smurfs, appeared in a children's comic in the
late 50's while the cold war was simmering ugly in the background, that
communism was not really a consideration, even unconsciously.

Actually, since Smurfette was originally an evil anti-Smurf created by
Gargamel but then was converted by the goodness and light of the
Smurfs, she's more likely to play a role of alien invading entity,
possibly a remnant from a previous incarnation of reality, that causes
problems until the Comte fixes it. Maybe she's a Cruel One, or working
for the House of Renunciation. Actually, that latter sounds good, with
the switch from Gargamel's evil, obviously adept-based, to Smurfish
good and all.
