They can interact if it's professional not personal.
They cannot charge up if they are part of the flow of
information - they hamper the progress. I wouldn't say
they break taboo though. If they had to relinquish
personal/private information they'd break taboo.
Someone asking for the time is fine, asking for the
sociomancer's name isn't.

Ah, yes. The Kevin Carter syndrome. This fits very
well with the transmission of information and
journobombs - hot topics that cause opinion strafings.

I want the sociomancer/logomancer to be the same
thing. 'Cause Power Words would make brilliant blast
spells.

How about there where once two separate schools of
magick. The young turk sociomancers and the doddering
old-timers, the logomancers. They met and blended
together like two puddles of water breaking surface
tension. The resultant meat school was a fusing of
old-school ideals mixed with informatic technology.
I'm sure the remaining sociomancers could have spun
off to form infomancers when surfing for porn was far
more exciting as a charge-up ritual than actually
moving around in society.

(I distrust net-hacker/computer jockey characters -
they continually piss me off. Sorry a bit OT there).

Both for me. Taboo has to be congruent with the adept
not just the opposite of charging rituals. But
anything can be hacked.
