Something like lurking on a newsgroup or a mailing list immediately 
comes to mind as a good charging strategy.

Or the guy in the cafe who seems to be quietly reading his newspaper 
while the couple on the next table breaks up.

Sounds interesting. But what do you think could the taboo be? No human 
interaction whatsoever? Such a being could hardly be a PC, I fear.
