a BEST OF UNKNOWN ARMIES? Like the Best of Dragon
Magazine? Can be done.

The UA preview is the best Player's Guide there is.

The only thing which could help is a little breakdown
on schools and avatars.

I'd actually aim for something other than scenario
ideas.

The BEST OF UA Idea.

We all feel UA is [one of] the best crime-action RPGs
with weirdo supernatural bits floating around like an
unflushed toilet. Its digusting but we all can't stop
poking at it with sticks.

If we all gird our loins we can assemble something
fantastic - a profressionally done collection of
fan-originating material that is officially accepted.

Perhaps a big collection of stuff. This will include
new rules mods (B. Durrell's Social Combat), avatars
and archetypes (I like that True Lover archetype), new
schools (G.Stolze's rebirthing idea), cabals and
dukes, artefacts, rituals, rumours (who doesn't love a
good rumour) unnaturals (P.o.Duffy's Birthday Suits
deserves to be listed) and weird magic stuff.

NO! BAD MONKEY! NO VOTING FOR ONE'S OWN MATERAIL!

We will need an odd numbered editorial staff to read
through, check grammar/spelling, etc. The odd number
comes from voting so there cannot be any draws on
votes.

Perhaps Greg Stolze could scan through some of the
submissions and give pointers, thumbs up, suggestions.
This would help this project immensely as some sort of
UA quality control. Nothing to time consuming, just
friendliness and helpful tips and an approving nod.

(We are, after all, be dating their beautiful but
mentally disturbed, bastard-lovechild and they merely
want the best for her. So give them some 'speck!)

If stuff is used from the UA website, the relevant
writer needs to give his/her/its permission first.
Then, John Tynes needs to remove the used post from
the website.

DO not submit anything that is the copyright of
another site. No money or sexual favours are being
traded for this project. If you posted something to
Pyramid and they paid you for it, it's belongs to
them.

One thing that will not be accepted is Revisionist
Material; cool alternative versions of existing
material is dandy - but we will not be replacing canon
with your homebrew. Unless it's too cool. (no Alex
Abel is actually the Compte and his wife, the Naked
Goddess, is actually the Babylonian Horror
Shub-Ashtarte).

Then some computer jockey/graphic designer to fix it
up as an official looking PDF and make it available
off the UA website.

Now, first things first.

I can help with editorial things, suggestions, and
proof reads.

I can pop off ideas and suggestions. I would not want
to do this to drastically alter anyone's submission.

Problems...

let it be know: THIS WILL BE A LABOUR OF LOVE, NOT A
PISSING CONTEST. You may have issues, keep them
between you and your therapist.

No man is a vacuum but stupidity is one's own. There
needs to be more than one loser doing editorial work.

If a submission is not chosen it may be used at some
other point.

This is all free. You get your name next to the
submitted article. Live with it.

If Stolze/Tynes ask niceley, they can publish this for
a bit of extra cash. We shall be nice to them and
allow this. It obviously doesn't stop each person
owning rights to their contribution.

Time permitting I can do quick illustrations for the
articles I want to do illustrations for. Anyone else
want to help here? I get to keep full rights for
illustrations though.

This UA Fan Death project can be run off the old,
dusty UA list from yahoogroups. Any takers for
moderators?

There. The very basics. If this works - it won't take
that much work just dedication - it will rock!

Comments?

Cheers,

Chris.
